Absolute must visit, cheap eats in Kyoto. Hidden in the back streets, this is not to be missed. ¥1100-1400 per person. Everything is prepared right in front of your eyes, and as described on the menu. (No offal, organs or tendons). 100% delicious. Potato Salad 15/10 (speciality) Kiwi fruit sour (12/10) Best of all the staff were very engaging. Very open to sharing language and culture, and also interested in our own. Great evening ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stumbled in to this place around 7:30pm on a Monday. Such kind service and amazing small plates. They brought the huge sake bottles out to us to make sure we liked it. Would definitely come back!

The Oden dishes here are homey and delicious, nothing fancy but the broth is light yet flavorful, if you’re looking for strong flavors this is NOT a place for you. Tomato and potato are my favorite, I even ordered their whole tomato twice.

We tried oden for the first Time. Definitely not my cup of tea but I think that all ingredients were well prepared. I liked the daikon, tofu and pork best. I wasn't impressed with the potato salad. Nice atmosphere and lovely and attentive staff.
